Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta 2022: A successful reunion for the island’s shipping community

After three challenging years apart, Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta 2022 returned with great success, organized by Fameline Holding Group and Limassol Marina on October 8th. The 6th edition of the regatta was hailed as a remarkable event by participants and attendees alike.

The two Offshore Sailing Races in the morning saw over 37 yachts take to the waters, with more than 250 guests joining as crew members in either the Corporate Race or the Open Race. The day culminated with a cocktail party at Gazebo Beach Bar, featuring live performances by the Prestige Band and Greek singer Konstantinos Argiros.

The Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta 2022 was not only a showcase of the island’s leading maritime community but also an occasion attended by senior government officials, adding prestige to the event.

In his welcoming speech on behalf of FHG Board of Directors, Mr. Marios Demetriades explained: “Once again, the Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta has served as a unifying event in the island’s sailing community. Fameline has been organizing the race for 6 years and the enthusiasm of all attendees continues to grow each year”.

This year, the awards of Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta winning teams were given by the Deputy Minister of Shipping, Mr. Vassilis Demetriades, the CEO of Fameline Holding Group Mr. Adamos Seraphides, the General Manager of Limassol Marina, Mr. Nikiforos Pampakas, the Director and Partner of the Group Mr. Gregoris Gregoriou and the President of the Cyprus Sailing Federation Mr. Yiannos Fotiou.
